Asli Bayram is a German actress with Turkish roots. She was born and raised in Darmstadt/Germany in 1981.
In 2005 she became the first Miss Germany with Turkish roots and hence attended the Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok. She went to actors' school Besitas Kültür Merkezi ( BKM), Istanbul and continued her training with Anne Mertin, Vienna, and Eric Morris, Los Angeles.
The first movie she acted in were the „Shattered Soul“,“Jump” with Patrick Swayze and “Shortcut to Hollywood”, which was successfully presented at the Berlinale Film Festival 2009.
In 2007, Asli Bayram premiered with great success in the solo theatre performance “Anne Frank: The Diary” at the Théatre de la Ville D’Esch in Luxembourg. She continued performing at the theatre festival of German language in Prague and in Frankfurt/ Main. Buddy Elias, Anne Frank’s cousin, complimented Asli Bayram on this project. In 20008/2009 she did a tour with the English version in Canada and the USA. She finished this project on the occasion of the commemoration of Anne Frank’s 80th birthday with three performances at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. THE TIMES wrote about her performance in “Anne Frank:The Diary”: “One of Germanys most convincing and subtle actresses”.
In 2009 the motion picture “Amok” was shot in Switzerland, and in the same year “Sevdah za Karima” was shot in Sarajevo, Bosnia. She continued working on “Shanghai Gypsy” in 2011. In all movies she acted in the national languages, Swiss German,Bosnian, Italian, Roma etc. It’s her special skill to adapt different languages which she enjoys integrating in her roles.
Her next movie “Body Complete” Bayram performed the lead role in the international thriller Body Complete, which was screened at 14 festivals worldwide and won 7 awards. Bayram won two Best Actress awards, at the New York International Riverlight Film Festival 2012 and the American International Film Festival 2012.
